A rare earth mine with a reserve of 435000 tons was found in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province recently, the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Geology and mineral resources sent good news that the Shandong Institute of geophysical and geochemical exploration affiliated to the Bureau found a rare earth mine in Xuecheng District, Zaozhuang City. The estimated resource reserves of the mine reach 435000 tons, and the total amount of rare earth oxides sampled and analyzed is between 0.5% and 1.62%, with an average grade of 1.03%, reaching a medium to upper industrial scale
it is understood that this is the first rare earth resource discovered by Shandong Institute of geophysical and geochemical exploration, and it is also the second rare earth mine discovered in Shandong Province
in 2011, Shandong Geophysical Exploration Institute and Zaozhuang Municipal Bureau of land and resources designed and approved the "general survey of iron ore in Shagou area, Zaozhuang City". The conclusion of the geological exploration report in 2013 shows that there are iron ore resources in this area that have made many coal enterprises in a dilemma, but they cannot reach the industrial grade and mining scale. However, rare earth elements were accidentally found during laboratory analysis
"rare earth is a national strategic resource. Since the founding of new China, our province has found only one rare earth mine in Xishan, Weishan County, with a small amount of resources. If new rare earth resources can be found in this area, it will provide richer evidence for the exploration of scarce resources in our Province." Gao Huanyi, vice president of the Institute, said, "to this end, at the beginning of 2014, we organized backbone forces to pay a special visit to relevant rare earth companies and investigate the prospecting target areas, and finally led to the establishment of the project and won the bid at one stroke."
the exploration found that the main rare earth elements of the mine include cerium, lanthanum, neodymium, praseodymium and more than ten kinds, as well as radioactive elements connecting the oil circuit thorium, uranium and other elements molybdenum, lead, etc., which are buried at a depth of about 220 meters
Qiu 1dan, the project leader, believes that the temperature is too high. Chenggui believes that the mine is located in the west of Yicheng uplift of Zaozhuang fault uplift, which is divided into North and south parts with Yicheng fault zone as the boundary, and reduces the emission of carbon dioxide. The rare earth mineralization in the northern region is closely related to the Mesozoic Yanshanian porphyry. The rare earth mineralization in the southern region is related to the Yanshanian Shagou sequence complex. It is an important metallogenic region of magmatic hydrothermal rare earth deposits in Shandong Province, and has a good prospecting prospect for rare earth resources. If we strengthen exploration, we may find more rare earth resources
